Environmental work - for a cleaner future
The transport sector has a significant role in the environment. Especially CO2 emissions that contribute to the greenhouse effect is a significant environmental aspect. Through new technologies and changing driving behavior, we want to minimize our impact. Taxi Skåne's goal is to be at the forefront to offer our customers the environmentally best option in terms of taxi transportation in our region without compromising our outstanding quality. Below you can read about our environmental efforts, our environmental goals and policy.
Environmental management - Safe Green Taxi
Taxi Skåne's activities are guided by quality and environmental management - -"Safe Green Taxi" - which is developed by the Swedish Taxi Association in collaboration with external consultants. The system corresponds to ISO 14001 - and ISO 9001 - Standards.
Environmental Activities and Goals
Out of the 160 vehicles Taxi Skåne operate, over 50% are clean vehicles under the Swedish Transportation Board's definition. Other cars will be continuously replaced by clean vehicles. After 1/11 2012 the entire fleet is to be made up of green vehicles. When ordering, you can always ask for a "green" car. We will send you one if one is available in the neighborhood.
To reduce environmental impact through better driving technique we are part of a joint project with Swedish Transport Administration. Key elements of the project is training in eco driving. The training is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 10-15%.
Environmental policy
- Taxi Skåne must comply with environmental laws and regulations.
- Taxi Skåne shall, in all its operations work for a permanent reduction of environment impact. In particular attention to reducing the emissions of fossil CO2 and nitrogen compounds.
- Taxi Skåne shall, when purchasing goods and services, take into account the negative environmental factors to prevent further negative impact on the environment.
- Taxi Skåne shall strive to maintain a high level of environmental awareness both within and outside the company.
